Dr. Kat is based out of Huntsville, Alabama and holds a doctorate in Adult Education with a Higher Education focus from North Carolina State University along with a Masters in Workforce Education and Development from the University of Georgia. She has over 15 years experience working with students at all stages of high school, GED, community/technical college, and graduate level studies through admissions, counseling, teaching, and advising. She has conducted research and presented at numerous national and international conferences on the topics of online learning communities, perceptions of education and their effects on learning outcomes, and the importance of proactive advising.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, learning golf, playing paintball, riding her horses, rebuilding old motorcycles, and making a difference in the lives of others.
When traveling, she likes to joke that "if she has cell service, she's of service to you." It's not uncommon to take a call while hiking through Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee or work on a client's edits while camping in the RV in northern Michigan. Luckily, her family supports this and realizes that this passion for her clients and their projects is what makes her feel truly fulfilled.
