Are you struggling to find the time and motivation to put words to paper? As academics, we are constantly pulled in many competing directions. With our facilitated academic writing retreats, we help you carve out the time YOU need to help you advance your research and career, increase your publications, and work towards your tenure goals.
We offer multiple formats and styles of retreat, based on what works best for your schedule and budget. Interested? Reach out and see how we can help you!
Travel Retreats
Does the thought of a couple of days in a secluded, beautiful environment with no worries except your writing sound good to you? Then perhaps one of our travel retreats is what you need! Lasting three or five days and located in beautiful destinations, our all-expense included retreats are perfect for unfettered writing time and reflection.
Upcoming retreats are being held in locations such as Destin, Florida, Saugatuck, Michigan, and Charleston, South Carolina. These are our signature retreats, and as such are only scheduled once per quarter (and we try to work around as many academic calendars as possible).
Workplace Inservice Retreats
Have a group of colleagues who all need some "me" time for writing? Struggling to keep your grad students on task and focus? Ask about our expert-facilitated inservice retreats.
Prior to the retreat, all participants will be asked to complete a goal sheet in order to define their most critical outcomes. These goals will be used to guide the workflow and develop writing plans that meet or exceed deadlines.
Virtual Retreats
Do you have the time but not the budget for a getaway focused on your writing? All you need to participate in one of our virtual writing retreats is a quiet place to work and a plan (and we'll even help you with that!).
Our virtual retreats start twice monthly and last for three to five days, depending on the program and plans you choose. You'll be provided with one-on-one support to develop your writing goals and workplans, access to our private retreat group where you can check in with others doing the same thing (or not - your choice), and support and feedback throughout the process.
